Beagle Pug Cross

A beagle pug cross is a mixture of two of America’s favorite dog breeds, the Beagle and the Pug.  These mixes are also called a Puggle.

As with any dog cross, the outcome is highly variable and rarely are two dogs the same.  So if you love someone’s beagle pug cross, odds are you won’t find another one the same.

The size of these dogs is normally under 22 pounds, depending on frame size and body condition.

Their coat is short and they do tend to shed.  All that is needed is twice weekly brushing, and maybe the occasional bath.

These dogs are considered average intelligence, so training them should not be too much of a challenge.

Temperament is great for the beagle pug cross.  It is generally an active an inquisitive dog that gets along great with children.

The Puggle is not a very common cross, so you might have a hard time locating a breeder.  Sometimes rescues or pounds might have one, so keep your eye out.  If you want a beagle pug cross you can find one, but you will have to do some looking.
