Pug In Heat
Signs That Your Pug Is In Heat
Do you think your pug is in heat? Well if you do
hear are some symptoms to look out for.
Females sometimes will bleed from the vulva, but often
times you won't see this in pugs who groom themselves a
lot.
The most common sign of a pug in heat is
a swollen vulva which appears swollen and
turgid.
Frequent urination is another common sign of a pug in
heat.
For small dogs like pugs it can be hard to notice when they
come into heat so you have to pay attention if you want to
breed them or have the stud around at all times.
A pug comes into head every 6 months or twice a year.
Pugs normally come into heat before 10 months of age,
although this varies a lot from 6 months to one year of
age.
Pugs are in heat normally for 21
days. Owners usually breed pugs on days one,
three, and five of standing heat.
Standing heat is where the female dog allows the male
dog to mount them.
A pug pregnancy normally lasts for 63 days.
